CONVERGENCE is a free, outdoor event offering a platform for musicians/bands and artists to share their compelling music and art with a community hungry for... awesomeness!

CONVERGENCE is excited to open the inter-dimensional portal for performers to express interest in participating in the 2024 event. You'll be part of a dynamic line up that will have all-eyes focused on your creative output. CONVERGENCE will be occupying downtown Oshawa and is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors at the main stage, activations and partnered venues. What are we looking for?

Forget A.I. we're looking for good old-fashioned organic beings. We want to expose local Oshawa talent and beam it like a powerful particle accelerator at the rest of the world! We are dedicated to showcasing culturally vibrant performers to ensure we represent our incredibly diverse community... offering equal opportunity to all. CONVERGENCE is committed to providing an environment that embraces inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility.

Creativity is at the core of CONVERGENCE. Performers who explore mashing up genres, soundscapes and mediums to create new exciting sonic worlds are encouraged to make a submission.

FEES, SUPPORT & LOCATION

CONVERGENCE will pay artists a fee to be negotiated on a band-by-band basis, based on the musical performance planned. Performers will also have access to the CONVERGENCE production team to assist with staging, lighting and any special technical requirements.

The CONVERGENCE marketing and public relations team will be activating extensive lead-up marketing and promotional communications. These include, but are not limited to; street signage, posters, handbills, website, Press Releases, social media and video content.

Date and Location Coordinates

CONVERGENCE is happening downtown Oshawa on September 21, 2024. The main stage, street-level activations and partnered venues are bound by Mary Street on the East and Simcoe Street on the West.

  • Links to 2 to 3 music videos (if applicable)

  • Links to press coverage (if applicable)

  • Notable performances (festivals, special events) in the last 5 years (if applicable)
