Where and when will the festival be taking place?

Convergence 2023 will occur in downtown Oshawa between September 22 and 24.

Free community events will take over the downtown core live on King St. E. (between Simcoe St. and Mary St.) from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 23.

​

Additionally, various ticketed events will be taking place on Friday, September 22 and Sunday, September 24. So, get yourself a hotel and make a weekend of it!

When will the festival line-up be released?

Artists and events are being gradually released over the course of the summer. The full line-up should be released by early September 2023.

How do I get involved as a musician?

Oshawa Tourism launched a call for musicians on March 9, 2023, inviting musicians of all genres to submit their music for consideration. The call for submissions is now closed.

What is NERD ALLEY, and how do I get involved?

Nerd Alley is a celebration of all things nerd culture – think Cosplay, board games, science fiction and fantasy, comic books, collectables, video games – and so much more! Nerd Alley will feature interactive installations, artist meet and greets, board game demos, vendor booths, and other nerdy and awesome attractions.

How do I get involved as an event sponsor?

What if it rains?

The simple answer – you will get wet! Convergence 2023 is a rain-or-shine event. Pro tip: Bring a rain jacket and umbrella. Don’t let a little rain spoil the fun!

Can I bring my children to the festival?

Kids rock! Convergence is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome to participate. Please note that there may be 18+ content at the Punk Rock Flea Market. This area of the festival will be clearly labelled, and participants under the age of 18 should enter at the discretion of a parent or guardian.

Will alcohol be served?

Convergence 2023 is a dry event; however, those looking for alcoholic refreshments may purchase and consume them at any licensed establishment within the event footprint.
